Bobcats Face Tough Hoop Slate

A trip to Florida and home games against Colorado State, Santa Clara and Idaho this winter, highlight Montana State’s 2003-04 men’s basketball schedule, which Bobcat coach Mick Durham has announced.
The Bobcats open the season with a trip to Florida International’s tournament on November 21 and 23, and play the Florida Gators on November 25. MSU’s non-conference home schedule includes games against Colorado State of the Mountain West Conference, former Big Sky rival Idaho, and Big West opponent Santa Clara. The Bobcats also play traditional rival Wyoming in Casper on December 13.
“This is a very competitive schedule, which is a goal of this program every year,” Durham said. “We’re giving our fans a chance to see us play Colorado State, Idaho, and Santa Clara in the Fieldhouse, and our home tournament has become a Holiday tradition in the Bozeman area.”
The Bobcats return two starters, guard Jason Erickson and forward Josh Barsh. Erickson, Bozeman’s Danny Faaborg, Barsh, guard Zach Devine, and forward Calvin Ento, all seniors, give MSU a good core of experienced players.
