Fall Camp Report
Thursday - Day ELEVEN
* * * DAILY NOTES * * *
* With Beau Clark unavailable for now (knee), Adam Cordeiro has played at nose tackle in recent practices, reminiscent of the move of John Taylor inside prior to his senior season. “It’s a quasi-permanent move. We have really good depth at defensive end, and in the interior part of the defense Adam can really be active and make plays.”
* Mike Kramer is unperturbed by the situation at running back. The team is without David Mayfield (he arrives from summer school on Saturday), Bruce Molock (concussion), and Michael Williams will be suspended for the first two games, but Kramer remains certain the Bobcats can piece together a fair and balanced attack. “That whole thing will take care of itself. We’ll have seven good days of work from the scrimmage to the Wyoming game. I’m not worried at all about the tailback situation.”
* One element of MSU’s camp which has gone largely unnoticed has been the team’s physical conditioning. “I’m incredibly pleased by the condition and strength of this team,” he said. “That’s due to the work of Justin Braun (the team’s strength and conditioning coordinator) and the dedication and leadership of our seniors over the summer.”
Practice Schedule
Fri., 8/15 - 9:30 am, 2:45 pm
Sat., 8/16 - 9:30 am scrimmage
Sun., 8/17 - off
Of Interest
