first extended live period of the spring on Friday, which came at theend of the team's fourth practice.
To be honest, I'm a little surprised where we're at, Kramersaid after watching his team in a scrimmage-like situation for 27 plays.I've never been through a spring with so many true freshmen coming outof the huddle in good-on-good. But they're doing well.
The Bobcats are missing a half-dozen projected starters due toinjury, but Kramer said that hasn't been a hindrance during the firstweek of practice. I never doubted that this team could function as itis, Kramer said.
Travis Lulay, who took over as MSU's starting quarterback last October and led the team tothe Big Sky title, was sharp. Kramer said his continued development will a storyline for MSUthis spring. He's now in chapter two, where he has to be a leader of this team Kramer said.He became a quarterback of a very veteran offense last year that got great leadership fromplayers like Junior Adams. Now he's the wily veteran, and he has to adjust to those aroundhim. And he'll be able to do that. That's what good players can do.
The Bobcats will have this weekend off, and will practice at 4 pm on Monday.
