Cats make move in Phoenix

Montana State fired a 311, the third-best round of the day, to move from seventh into a fourth-place tie at the Big Sky Conference Golf Championships in Goodyear, Ariz. Four MSU players shot sub-80 rounds, led by Erica Leslie's 76. Kylie Anderson and Megan McDonald each shot 78, while Tiffani Spring shot 79. Kristina Kurcinka shot 84.
I'm proud of how they played today, said MSU coach Brittany Basye. They really pulled it together and had a good day. It was a windy day, too, so they actually shot better than the score indicates.
Leslie's 155 through two rounds moves her into a tie for 10th. Anderson's 156 puts her in a 12th place tie.
