Clark Joins MSU Staff

James Clark, a former Bobcat guard, has joined the Montana State men's basketball staff as an assistant coach, MSU coach Mick Durham announced on Wednesday.
Clark was a starting guard for the Bobcats in 2001-02, helping lead the 'Cats to a Big Sky regular season title as a senior. Clark averaged 9.7 points and 1.7 rebounds a game as a senior, and led the Bobcats with 104 assists. Clark averaged 5.3 points and 1.2 rebounds as a junior in 2001, leading the team with 86 assists.
"James will bring the same enthusiasm and energy to our coaching staff that he had as a player, and we're excited about his return to our program," said Durham. "James will be an outstanding addition to our staff."
Clark graduated from MSU with an education degree in December. The Chicago native graduated from Milwaukee's South High School in 1998, and earned all-conference honors as a sophomore at Olympic Junior College in Washington in 2000. Durham indicated that Clark assumes administrative and on-floor coaching duties for the Bobcats.
