Montana State’s crowd of 8,767 Saturday was its lowest of the season, but the Bobcats are averaging 11,453 through five games, right now the third-best average in school history, and have drawn a total of 57,265, the already the sixth-best mark in school history
The Bobcats have beaten Sacramento State three straight times
The Bobcats are now over .500 for the first time this season
Montana State held Sacramento State to just 239 yards of total offense on Saturday, the seventh opponent out of nine that compiled less than 300 yards against the league-leading Bobcat defense this year

INDIVIDUAL NOTES/PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
OFFENSE: RB Bruce Molock, Sr, 5-11, 205, Lancaster, CA
Bruce Molock rushed for a career-high 201 yards in leading Montana State to its highest offensive output in four seasons on Saturday. Molock also scored three touchdowns, including a 60-yarder in the third quarter that broke the game open and was MSU’s longest rush and second-longest play from scrimmage this season.
OTHER NOTES: Travis Lulay rushed for positive yards for the ninth straight game this year, getting 24 yards on five carries… Lulay scored one rushing touchdown, giving him a team-high five on the season… Lulay also completed at least 70% of his passes for the third straight game, and didn’t throw an interception for the fifth time in nine games… fullback Ryan Elliott caught a career-high four passes, one short of his total for all of last season… Elliott also caught a touchdown pass, his first since 2001…

Registered six tackles (three solos), one for a loss, with one pass breakup and one sack against Sacramento State… spearheaded a Bobcat defensive effort that held Sac State to just 239 yards.
OTHER NOTES: Kane Ioane led the Bobcats in tackles for the fourth straight game, and for the sixth time in MSU’s nine games this year… Roger Cooper had one sacke, giving him three on the season and a team-high 11.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage… Joey Thomas intercepted his second pass of the season, and the eighth of his career… Thomas also broke up two more passes Saturday, giving him 10 for the season… defensive end Clive Lowe registered a sack on his only tackle of the game, raising his total as a redshirt freshman to a team-high 4.5.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Corey Smith, 5-10, 168, Sr, Federal Way, WA
Corey Smith returned one punt 80 yards for a touchdown, and another 48 yards for a touchdown, sparking Montana State to a 56-7 win over Sacramento State on Saturday. Smith became the first player in MSU history to return two punts for touchdowns in a single game, and in all he had 164 punt return yards.
OTHER NOTES: Corey Smith is the only player in Bobcat history to return two punts for touchdowns in the same game, and earlier this year became the only player to return a punt and kickoff for touchdowns in the same game… Travis Lulay has averaged 38.5 yards on his seven punts this year, pinning the opponent inside the 20 six times… Nate Cook was perfect on seven extra points yesterday, and is 20-for-20 on the season… EJ Cochrane nailed his first point after try of the season… Elliott had a devastating block that sprung Corey Smith for an 80-yard punt return touchdown.
