Ioane, Montoya Earn Academic Honors

Bobcat senior defensive standouts Kane Ioane and Jon Montoya have earned Verizon Academic All-America Region VII honors.
Ioane, a safety from Billings, and Montoya, a defensive end from Brandon, S.D., were each named all-region for the second time on Thursday. Montoya was named First Team Academic All-America last year.
Ioane is second in the Big Sky with 104 tackles this season, and also has four tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, a pass breakup, and a forced fumble. Montoya has 22 tackles, including five for a loss and 1.5 sacks. He also has one fumble recovery.
