“We didn’t do the things we needed to take care of on our side of the net,” said MSU head coach Miya Malauulu “We didn’t serve-receive and when we got out of system we struggled. It seemed like no one on our team wanted to step up and make a play.”
Montana State (16-10, 6-7) was paced in the loss by Megan Zanto and LeAnn Kinvig with six kills, apiece. For the match, Eastern Washington (20-7, 12-1) outhit the Bobcats .246 to .036.
Defensively, the Bobcats were led by Meggie Malyurek with 16 digs, while LeAnn Kinvig tallied 12 digs.
Montana State will close out its Big Sky Conference regular-season on Saturday afternoon at Portland State.
