Montana State 40, Saint Mary’s 0 in Moraga, CA
INJURY REPORT: OG Jeff Bolton suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s game, and is questionable for this week. WR Mike Williams suffered a knee injury last Thursday, did not play on Saturday, and is out indefinitely. DT Adam Cordeiro was ill and did not play on Saturday.

• Montana State’s shutout of Saint Mary’s was the first time the Bobcats held an opponent scoreless since a 20-0 win over Sacramento State in 2001, 23 games ago
• MSU’s shutout was its first road whitewashing since beating Weber State 48-0 in 1984, 213 games ago
• Bruce Molock’s 100-yard rushing game gave the Bobcats three 100-yard rushers in their five games this year
• The Bobcats were +2 in turnovers on Saturday, and are now +3 on the season
• The Bobcats benefited from a pair of two-point conversions on Saturday, both by defensive starters (Joey Thomas and Roger Cooper)
• The Bobcats scored on all five of their trips into the red zone Saturday, and allowed Saint Mary’s to penetrate their 20-yard line only once
• Montana State has held all four of its 2003 opponents to less than 300 yards of offense, and allowed Saint Mary’s only 163 yards
• Montana State’s nine penalties and 92 penalty yards were each season highs
• Montana State scored 15 first-quarter points on Saturday after getting just three points in the first four games combined
• The Bobcats scored a season-high 40 points Saturday after getting just 31 points combined in the previous two games
• After using five receivers in each of MSU’s first three games, Travis Lulay has completed passes to nine different receivers in the last two outings.
• In 11 of MSU’s 13 games last year, either Aaron Hill or Junior Adams caught at least five passes. In one game, the two combined for 13 catches. Only three times this year has a player caught as many as six balls in a game – Scott Turnquist Smith, and Brandon Roosevelt have each done so.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES/PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
OFFENSE: Bruce Molock, RB, 5-11, 205, Sr, Lancaster, CA
Bruce Molock led a dominant Bobcat ground game with a career-high (including his three seasons at Northridge) 150 yards rushing. Molock scored on touchdown runs of one yard and 20 yards, and also caught two passes for 17 yards.
OTHER NOTES: Bruce Molock rushed for a career-high 150 yards on Saturday, his second 100-yard effort this year…Jimmy Beal also rushed for a career high, getting 62 years on nine carries… Nine Bobcat receivers caught passes Saturday, but no one caught more than two… Quarterback Travis Lulay has posted positive rushing yardage each game.
DEFENSE: LB Mac Mollohan, 6-0, 205, So, Kalispell, MT
The Bobcat sophomore led the Bobcats with nine tackles, including seven solos. He also had two tackles for a loss (six yards) in MSU’s suffocating defensive performance. The Bobcats held Saint Mary’s to 163 yards in MSU’s first road shutout since 1984.
OTHER NOTES: Kane Ioane’s second half interception for a touchdown was the first pick by a Bobcat DB this year, and DeAngelo Wall’s interception on the next possession was the second… MSU had 11 tackles for loss Saturday… In addition to his interception, DeAngelo Wall also broke up two passes… Mac Mollohan had his finest game as a Bobcat, getting nine tackles, two for a loss… Jonathan Molock had six tackles, two for a loss, and a sack.
SPECIAL TEAMS: QB Travis Lulay, 6-2, 205, So, Aumsville, OR
Bobcat quarterback Travis Lulay was the trigger man in several key special teams plays in Saturday’s 40-0 win at Saint Mary’s. Lulay completed a 44-yard pass to Kane Ioane for a first down out of punt formation, ran 11 yards out of punt formation for another first down, and punted once for 40 yards.
OTHER NOTES: Corey Smith was held in check Saturday, getting 31 yards on four punt returns and 19 yards on his only kick return… Joey Thomas and Roger Cooper each had two-point conversion runs.
