“It was nice to see everyone on the same floor,” said MSU third-year head coach Robin Potera-Haskins. “I was pleased with the way our veterans played and we also received some great contributions from our newcomers.
“This (scrimmage) will give us a good starting point as we build towards the season opener.”
Also hitting double-figures for the Blue squad were junior college transfer Hillary Scott 12, and Bozeman freshman Scotta Morton 10. The Blue team was led under the boards by Nina Sanford and Belinda Stubbs with six rebounds apiece.
“The Blue team pulled away because they did a nice job of running the floor,” Potera-Haskins said. “We have a long ways to go, but for the most part, I was pleased with the effort.”
The White team was paced by freshman Joanna Hixon, who tallied a team-high 15 points, while adding five rebounds. Junior all-conference performer Kati Burrows, who was struggling with an illness, notched 14 points and five rebounds. The White squad was paced under the glass by freshman redshirt Whitney Connolly with a game-high 11 rebounds.
MSU will open its season with an exhibition game on Nov. 13.
