Bobcat Tennis Standout Garners Verizon District VII Academic Kudos

Verizon Academic All-District VII Women's At-Largesecond-team, as voted by members of the College SportsInformation Directors of America (CoSIDA). The At-Largeteam represents athletes from the sports of crew, gymnastics,skiing, fencing, ice hockey, swimming, water polo, field hockey,lacrosse, tennis, golf and rifle.
Lowrance, a senior from Easley, S.C., was the only Big SkyConference and state of Montana student-athlete selected tothe District VII squad. This spring, Lowrance led the Bobcatsto the Big Sky Conference Mountain Region crown and a No.1 seed at the league championships. On the season, shenotched a 14-9 mark at No. 3 singles and combined with NezaKurnik at No. 1 doubles, where the tandem posted nine victories. For her efforts, Lowrancewas named second-team All-Big Sky Conference.
Liz (Lowrance) had an exceptional season, both on and off the court, said MSU women'scoach Denise Albrecht. It was fun to watch her have a very successful year and she played apivotal role in what we were able to accomplish as a team. Even more importantly, sheachieved in the classroom and that's the precedent we want to set for our program.
Lowrance graduated with highest honors from the College of Business, last weekend.
