Bobcats Add JC Point Guard

staff as a true point guard with experience, has signed a national letter-of-intent to join theBobcat program next fall.
Clark led Olympic College in Washington to the state tournament semifinals, earning secondteam all-conference honors. He averaged 13 points, eight assists and two steals as asophomore last year.
"James will be a nice addition to our backcourt," said MSU coach Mick Durham. "We felt weneeded some more experience at point guard to go with returning starter Jermaine Walton.James has made the transition from off guard to point guard in junior college, and he seems tobe getting more comfortable all the time. He’s very unselfish and wants to do what is best forthe team. James hit 35 three-pointers this season, and that gives us a nice contrast to Jermaine,who’s strength is penetrating."
Clark, originally from Milwaukee, WI, averaged 15.5 points, 5.0 reboundsand 4.5 assists atMilwaukee South High. Durham said production is not Clark’s only strength. "James will bringa good level of toughness to our team. He’s a very determined young man who is veryappreciative of the opportunity, and you can’t have enough of this type of guy."
