This will be a great opportunity for Cori and Mindy to extend their careers, said MSU headcoach Dave Gantt. It will also give them a chance to finish their degrees this spring, beforeresuming a professional playing career in the fall. Mindy speaks fluent German and with Cori'sout-going nature, I'm sure they'll adapt very well to playing in Europe.
Carper, a 6-foot-1 middle blocker from Lander, Wyo., was a second-team all-Big SkyConference selection this season, while Nowak, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter from Marysville,Wash., was an honorable-mention league pick.
This is a very exciting opportunity for the both of us, said Carper. It's great to be given achance to continue our playing careers.
