Max Worthington- Class of ’32- Football, Basketball
Athlete…Coach…Counselor…Administrator…Friend…and all-time great Bobcat ambassador. One of the top all-around athletes ever to participate at MSU…Was a member of the “Golden Bobcats” basketball team and was a four-year starter in basketball and tree in football (freshmen were not eligible)…One of the few Bobcats to ever captain two sports (football and basketball)…All-conference in football in 1929…An assistant football and basketball coach for two seasons and head basketball coach in 1947-48 (18-9)…A long-time MSU administrator who worked as Dean of Student Affairs an worked in the Alumni Office…A Bozeman resident who was given MSU’s prestigious Blue-Gold Award.
