Lt. Col. Lones Wigger- Class of ’60- Rifle Four-time All-America and Olympic champion…one of America’s most honored rifle marksmen. A standout on the MSU rifle team from 1957-60 and earned All-America honors in each season…Has represented the United States in five Olympics and Pan American Games…Won a Gold Medal in the 1960 Olympics and a Gold and a Silver Medal in the 1964 Olympic Games…Received MSU’s prestigious Blue and Gold Award in 1972…Winner of 73 national rifle championships and numerous other world titles…A decorated officer and Vietnam war hero, Wigger passed away in 2017.
