McGree Scores First Team Points at BSC Championships

Montana State sophomore Sarah McGree placed seventh in the heptathlon scoring 4842 points, more than 200 points over her season best.
Her seventh place finish gives MSU its first two team points of the meet. Cassie Merkely of Idaho State won the event with 5351 points. The point totals are an accumulation of performances measured against a national standard. MSU's Sadie McMillan placed ninth in the event with 4613 points and freshman Kortnee Barrett was 13th with 3319 points.
In the men's decathlon, freshman Jeff Mohl placed tenth. Mohl suffered an injury in April that kept him out of training for almost four weeks before the conference meet. The men's decathlon was won by favorite Nick Trubachik of Portland State.
