Driscoll, a double major in Mechanical Engineering and German received the award for academic and athletics achievement as a member of the MSU outdoor track and field team. The awards are voted on by university sports information directors across the country. Driscoll was one of 15 first team honorees nationwide.

Driscoll was a three-time Big Sky Conference all-conference selection in cross country and a two-time all-conference selection in track and field. She is the current conference champion in the 10K run.

Driscoll was also a MSU Awards of Excellence winner in 2008, chosen as one of forty outstanding seniors at MSU. She was also on the President's List every semester while at MSU and graduated with a 4.0 grade point average. Most recently, Driscoll won a post graduate scholarship award from the NCAA.

An avid volunteer in the community and on campus, she was honored as the 2009 A.L.L. Star, an award that goes to the student-athlete at MSU who donates the most time to community service projects.

"Elisabeth is a good example of the kind of kid that makes a great competitor and a great teammate," head MSU track and field coach Dale Kennedy said. "She had a stellar career at MSU in both cross country and track and I am sure she will continue to succeed in life."

Driscoll was a Bozeman High graduate.
