No. 1 seed Sacramento State ended the Montana State women’s tennis season with a 4-0 win over the Bobcats in the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference tournament, Saturday afternoon
Montana State sophomore Jennifer Coll held off two match points and rallied from a 5-2 third set deficit to post a 3-6, 7-6, 7-6(2) win over Eastern Washington’s Judy Liening at No. 5 singles to lift the Bobcats to a 4-3 win over the Eagles and giving MSU the fourth and final spot in the Big Sky Conference tournament next weekend in Sacramento, Calif.
On senior weekend, it was a Montana State freshman that sealed the victory in MSU’s first match of the weekend as the Bobcats downed Northern Colorado, 4-3, Friday afternoon in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
