Montana State golfers dropped back Wednesday to finish 13th at the Ron Moore Invite outside Denver. Freshman Molly Dorans led the squad at the meet shooting a three-round 235. Sophomore Leslie McGetrick was second on the ‘Cat team with a 244. Both Dorans (77) and McGetrick (81) added two strokes to their Tuesday round.

“This was a three-day battle with the worst weather I have ever seen for a golf tournament,” head coach Leslie Spalding said. “It was a mental battle for the girls. I thought they played pretty well despite the weather. "

Host University of Denver won team honors with a score of 879. Medalist honors for the tourney went to Stephanie Sherlock of the University of Denver. Sherlock shot a one-under 215 to edge out UC Davis’ Alice Kim by one stroke.
