Pershelle Rohrer serves as the Assistant Director of Media and Digital Relations for the Montana State Athletic Department, a role she began on September 2, 2025. In this position, Rohrer serves as the primary contact for men’s basketball, cross country/track & field, and women’s golf, and as the secondary contact for football. She manages the publicity and day-to-day maintenance of her assigned sports, with responsibilities including writing press releases, game notes, and media guides; maintaining team records; overseeing social media strategy and content creation; coordinating interviews with coaches and student-athletes; assisting with photography; and running in-game social media for other sports as assigned.
Before joining Montana State, Rohrer built a well-rounded career in sports communications across multiple levels of collegiate athletics. From 2023 to 2025, she served as a Sports Communications Graduate Assistant at the University of Georgia, where she was the primary contact for cross country and track & field, working with elite student-athletes such as 2024 Bowerman finalist Christopher Morales Williams and 2024 Olympic Gold Medalist Aaliyah Butler. During her tenure, Georgia’s women’s outdoor track & field team captured the 2025 NCAA team title. She also served as the primary contact for women’s golf during the 2024–25 season, growing the team’s digital presence to more than 10,000 Instagram followers, and briefly served as the interim softball contact in 2025. Rohrer played an integral role in supporting multiple SEC and NCAA Championship events, including the 2025 SEC Softball Tournament, 2024 NCAA Baseball Regional and Super Regional, and the 2024 NCAA Softball Regional, as well as major neutral-site events like the SEC Football Championship Game and Aflac Kickoff Game in Atlanta.
Rohrer’s previous experience also includes serving as a communications intern at the University of Toledo in 2023, where she was the secondary contact for track & field, and as a strategic communications intern at Bowling Green State University from 2019 to 2023, where she became the primary contact for men’s and women’s cross country and gained significant stat crew and game day operations experience across multiple sports. She also worked as a communications and gameday intern with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL during their 2021–22 season, writing recaps and running the team’s in-game Twitter feed for all 93 games as the team reached the Kelly Cup Finals. Rohrer got her start in athletics as a media relations volunteer at Utah State University from 2018 to 2020, where she contributed to game day operations and in-office support for volleyball and basketball.
A native of Logan, Utah, Rohrer earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Journalism from Bowling Green State University in 2023 and a Master of Science in Sport Management and Policy from the University of Georgia in 2025.
