Sam Mix enters his fifth season at Montana State, and his first as receivers coach. He joined Brent Vigen’s first staff as a recruiting and operations assistant in 2021-22, then became running backs coach in 2023. During two seasons in that position he coached some of the greatest Bobcat backs in history, helping Scottre Humphrey to All-America honors and Adam Jones to a Big Sky Freshman of the Year season. The former MSU Northern receiver (2015-18), originally from Sammamish, Washington, coached receivers and coordinated special teams at his alma mater in 2019-21. He caught 51 passes in his three varsity seasons at MSUN.
