Chirrick was the 2025 Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league and ranking sixth in the nation with 113 steals…her 3.32 steals per game was also first in the conference and sixth in the country…as a team, the Bobcats finished No. 1 in the nation averaging 14.4 steals per contest…Chirrick’s total of 113 steals in her inaugural season with the Bobcats was the second highest ever recorded in the MSU program…she set a new single game record for steals with 11 at Eastern Washington on Jan. 20, 2025…Chirrick played in all 34 games, including two starts…averaged 21.1 minutes per outing…averaged 6.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game…also dished out 68 assists, averaging 2.0 per game…connected on 19 three-pointers…shot 38% from the field…registered a season-best 15 points twice, the last in MSU’s win over Northern Arizona on Feb. 6, 2025…notched nine games in double figure scoring…pulled down a season-high 11 rebounds in MSU’s win over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez…tallied a season-high six assists against Weber State…had 14 games with four or more steals…finished season with ten blocked shots…had a season best performance from three-point range in MSU’s win over Idaho connecting on four-of-six from long distance…coming off the bench was named to the All-Big Sky Conference Defensive team…was an All-Big Sky Academic selection.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Chirrick, a four-sport standout at Roberts High School, was a three-time all-state pick in basketball...played two seasons at Billings West, before moving on to the Rockets for her junior year...as a junior led Montana Class C averaging 31.8 points per game, the third best showing in state history...in addition, posted 51 points in a single game, the fifth best performance in Montana history...had her best game in the District 6-C playoffs, notching 40 points and 26 rebounds against Broadus...was the 2022 Montana Class AA Defensive Player of the Year at Billings West...played club ball with the Northwest Blazers Orange where she garnered 2023 Second Team Under Armor U17 honors, after being a First Team Under Armor U16 selection in 2022...her 2022 squad won the national championship...an outstanding athlete, she set Montana Class C records at 400- and 800-meters, as well as in the 300-meter hurdles...earned all-state honors in track and cross country.
