Employment
Student-athletes may only be paid for work actually performed and at a rate commensurate with the going rate in that locality for similar services. The pay, benefits and duties of employed student-athletes must be comparable to other employees of similar skills and experience. ‘Employment’ includes providing individual lessons for a fee.
All student-athletes employed within the last calendar year or who intend to be employed in the upcoming calendar year must complete the Student-Athlete Employment form in ARMS. If a student-athlete’s employment status changes at any time, it is their responsibility to notify the compliance office immediately.
