About Bobcat Compliance
The mission of Bobcat Compliance is to provide guidance to the entire Montana State community with regard to the rules, regulations and standards which mandate integrity and fair play in all our affairs. Above all else, we exist to promote and protect the health and well-being of our student-athletes, our Athletics Department and the institution.
Montana State University is unequivocally committed to the concept of institutional control in the operation of Bobcat Athletics reflecting the letter and spirit of institutional, Big Sky Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. This burden falls on both the institution and the individual. It is carried out through the engagement of responsible administrators and faculty. Bobcat Compliance strives to educate coaches, staff, student-athletes, prospects, fans, alumni and other individuals associated with Bobcat Athletics and in the Bozeman community. It is the responsibility of Bobcat Compliance to educate these individuals of their own responsibilities under NCAA rules. Bobcat Compliance works to develop operating procedures that reflect the charges of the standards set forth by the NCAA member institutions. Every individual associated with Bobcat Athletics has a duty to know and understand the rules and uphold those rules within their realm of responsibility. Bobcat Compliance should be made aware of any violation of institutional, Big Sky Conference or NCAA rules, no matter how small.
