Montana State (2012) Named MSU’s co-winner (with Chase Young) of MSU’s Chuck Karnop Toughness Award after spring drills… enters the fall as a reserve Sam linebacker after suffering a shoulder injury during the spring. (2011) Missed the spring and much of the summer while rehabilitating a knee injury discovered following the 2011 season… Played in the final 10 games, registering eight tackles… broke up two passes and hurried the quarterback once. (2010) Punctuated an outstanding freshman season with National Freshman of the Week honors for his effort against Weber State and Big Sky Player of the Week honors after the Washington State and Weber games… named MSU’s Bill Kollar Defensive MVP… started all 12 games… led the team with 78 tackles… 7.5 tackles-for-loss second-best total on team… picked off a Washington State pass. (2009) Redshirted… earned MSU’s Top Defensive Scout in 2009.
High School Helped lead Billings Central to two straight Class A title game appearances, which the Rams won in 2007, Grosulak’s junior season… earned all-state honors twice and Great Falls Tribune Super-State honors as a senior… also a standout for the Billings Scarlets American Legion baseball team, earning all-state honors on a back-to-back state championship squad.
Academics Majoring in chemical engineering.
Personal Born Aleksei Peter Grosulak on July 30, 1990, in Billings… one of three children of Duane and Ann Grosulak… his cousin Ryan Grosulak played football at Carroll College, and a former prep teammate, Casey McMillan, plays football at Iowa.
