Bio
Montana State (2010) Enters the season as MSU’s starting defensive end. (2009) Emerged during the spring as a strong contender for starting honors at defensive end… All-Big Sky Honorable Mention… started nine games, including the last eight… registered 39 tackles, including five for a loss and three sacks… season-high seven tackles in opener at Michigan State. (2008) Transferred to Montana State from Oregon in June, 2008… saw extensive action at defensive end as a redshirt freshman, registering four tackles and 1.5 sacks… registered a sack at Idaho State, and forced an Adams State fumble… played in all 12 games.
Oregon (2007) Redshirted.
Bonanza Earned Oregon’s Class 2A defensive player of the year honors from The Oregonian after helping lead Bonanza to the state title game and 11-2 record… averaged double-digits in tackles throughout his senior season, including 19 in the state championship game… sacked the opposing quarterback seven times in the state semifinals that year.. helped Bonanza limit opponents to nine points and 80 rushing yards a game… earned state shot put (51-2) and discus (155-2) titles, helping his school to a state track and field championship.
Academics A member of Bonanza’s Honor Society… majoring in sociology at MSU.
Personal Born John Francis Laidet on October 3, 1988 in Sacramento, CA… the only child of Mike and Kathy Laidet.
