Montana State (2012) Finished his career as a special teams standout and reserve safety… registered 10 tackles on the season… an outstanding five-year player for the Bobcats. (2011) A special teams standout who registered 15 tackles… logged four tackles against Minot State, three each against Sam Houston State and UC Davis. (2010) Played as a scout team defensive back… earned MSU’s Jon Montoya Most Improved Defensive Player award during the spring. (2009) Squad member without game experience. (2008) Redshirted at MSU.
Plentywood A two-time all-state choice at Plentywood High, where he played cornerback and running back… intercepted four passes in a game against Forsyth, and rushed for a 99-yard touchdown against Broadus… also earned all-state honors in track and field twice, and all-conference basketball honors twice.
Academics Enrolled in MSU’s University Studies program.
Personal Born Heath Aaron Howard on May 22, 1990 in Plentywood… one of three children of Laurie and Steve Howard… his father played football at Rocky Mountain, and an aunt, Kristy Thompson, competed for the Bobcat track and field squad… former prep teammates include Zach McCoy (football) and Andrew Rickett (basketball) of Dickinson State.
