Tea Kiesel Finishes Third to Lead Cats at RMISA Slalom Qualifier Thursday

Three Bobcats finished in top six
BOZEMAN, Mont. (Feb. 26, 2026) – Three Bobcats logged top six finishes in the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) qualifying slalom race at Bridger Bowl on Thursday.
The non-team scoring race serves as a preliminary to the NCAA Championships March 11-14 in Utah. The regional championship portion of the alpine competition begins on Thursday at Bridger Bowl.
Montana State's Tea Kiesel finished third on two runs in the women's slalom with a mark of 1:43.11, less than one second from first place. In the men's slalom, Will Steed placed fifth (1:36.26) and Torius Hepsoee sixth (1:36.32).
Several other Bobcats competed on Thursday. Bosse Mikelsson finished 14th in the men's race (1:37.01) and Loic Spiegelberg tied for 16th (1:37.31). Gianluca Boehm, Ian Haupt and Caleb Unger did not finish the second run, while Luc Dalton did not finish the first run.
Zoe Gray finished 19th in the women's slalom (1:47.21), while Solveig Grouenningsaeter did not finish the second run and Lily Sewell and Victoria Clancy did not finish the first run.
