Bobcat Skiers Stand Fourth After Three Events at Utah Invitational

(Feb. 22, 2026) – Montana State's Justine LaMontagne finished fifth in the giant slalom to lead Montana State during the first day of Alpine competition at the University of Utah Invitational at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City, Utah.
The Bobcats stand in fourth place with 378 points entering Tuesday's slalom competition. Colorado leads with 556 points, while Utah has tallied 504 points and Denver 405.
LaMontagne marked a time of 2:00.62 over two runs. Tea Kiesel finished tied for 17th for the Bobcats with a time of 2:02.89, followed by Lily Sewell in a 19th-place tie (2:03.10), Solveig Groenningsaeter (2:05.92) and Victoria Clancy (2:09.92). Zoe Gray was disqualified during the second run.
Torius Hepsoee finished seventh to pace the men's team. He posted a time of 1:59.31 on his two runs. Loic Spiegelberg finished 13th (1:59.79), Will Steed stands 18th (2:00.27), Gianluca Boehm 19th (2:00.30), Bosse Mikelsson was 25th (25th (2:00.82), and Luc Dalton 33rd (2:05.78). Ian Haupt was disqualified during the second run and Caleb Unger did not finish the second run.
LaMontagne posted the fifth-fastest time in the first run of the women's race with a mark of 58.64. Hepsoee's 59.98 mark was the fourth-fasted time of the second run in the men's competition.
