Dear Bobcats,
Last Friday, we hosted the 8th Annual Blue & Gold Gala, celebrating a special night in support of the Bobcat Annual Scholarship Fund. We welcomed more than 450 fans and donors to the Fieldhouse and raised a record $615,000 to directly support student-athlete scholarships. I want to thank everyone who made the evening such a success—our donors, coaches, staff, and especially our student athletes. If you didn't have a chance to contribute but would still like to support student-athlete scholarships, you can do so here. You can also view photos from the event here.
The fall sports season is off to an incredible start, with all Bobcat teams competing at a high level:

Volleyball sits atop the Big Sky standings after sweeping NAU and UNC last weekend and defeating UM on its home floor to keep the Mainline Trophy in Bozeman. That victory also gave MSU the first point in the 2025–26 Brawl of the Wild Series, which MSU has now won nine straight years! Let's keep the momentum going—help us "Shake Shroyer" as the Bobcats battle for a regular-season championship. And don't forget to wear gold and help us Pack the Brick when the Cats renew the rivalry with UM on Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m. Click here for Cat/griz tickets |

Golf wrapped up an outstanding fall season this week in Tulsa, OK. Earlier this fall, Coach Basye and the team earned their first tournament win since 2002, capturing the Yellowstone Invitational at Riverside Country Club in Bozeman. The Bobcats also celebrated two individual titles—Eva Heinz at the Yellowstone Invitational and Lauren Greeny at the Diane Thomason Invitational in Iowa City, IA. |
Looking ahead, Montana State University will host the 2026 NCAA Ski Championships at Bridger Bowl and Crosscut Mountain Sports Center (March 11-14, 2026). Volunteers are still needed and if you are interested in helping with the event, more information will be sent at a later date.
Bobcat fans, thank you for an incredible start to the 2025–26 athletic year. Your passion and support continue to elevate our programs and student-athletes. I hope you'll keep cheering on all our teams as they chase conference titles this fall and join us this winter for more great events on campus and around the Bozeman community.
Go Cats!
