
Bobcat Student-Athletes Combine for 3.42 Grade Point Average in Spring Semester 2025

More than half of all Bobcats register GPA of 3.0 or better
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State student-athletes logged another impressive semester in the classroom this spring, compiling a 3.42 cumulative grade point average (out of 4.0) among all Bobcats.
Led by women's track and field (11), spirit squad (seven) and women's rodeo (six), 48 of Montana State's 375 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. A total of 189, more than half of all Bobcats 308), earned GPAs of at least 3.0. Every Bobcat team logged a team GPA of at least 3.0 during the spring semester, and 12 of the 16 teams scored at least a 3.40.
"Bobcat student-athletes continue to make us proud with their accomplishments in the classroom, as well as competition," said MSU Director of Athletics Leon Costello. "They are a true example that you can do both simultaneously. I want to thank them for their dedication to achieving their academic goals and our academic staff for their support in their journey. "
The women's golf team paced all Bobcat squads with a 3.853 GPA during the spring semester, followed by alpine skiing (3.751) and women's basketball (3.687). For the just-completed academic year, the women's golf team paced Bobcat Athletics with a 3.800 GPA, with women's basketball (3.708) and men's cross country (3.683) not far off.
