Chirrick Named Big Sky Player of the Week

Montana State sophomore Taylee Chirrick has been named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week for her efforts in MSU's games against UNLV and Troy, the league office announced on Tuesday.

The 5-10 guard from Roberts, averaged 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 6.0 steals and 3.5 assists per game as the Bobcats defeated UNLV 94-81, before falling to Troy, 74-60, on Monday night.

Chirrick, who has been in double figure scoring in all five games, registered 16 points and 10 rebounds against the Rebels for her fifth career double-double. She also added six steals and three assists. On Monday, Chirrick notched a game-high 21 points, while recording nine rebounds, six steals, and four assists.

Montana State is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation averaging 18.6 steals per game, while Chirrick is No. 4 in the country averaging 4.60 steals per game.

The Bobcats play at Colorado, Sunday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m., in Boulder.
