Bozeman High Tennis Standout Signs with Bobcats

Two-time Montana Class AA state singles champion Meg McCarty of Bozeman has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to compete with the Montana State women’s tennis program, announced Bobcat Head Coach Suzie Woodburn on Wednesday afternoon.

McCarty has dominated Montana Class AA tennis over the past two seasons, earning all-state and all-conference accolades. A four-star recruit, she hasn't dropped a set in her high school career and currently has a No. 117 national ranking in girls 18U.
""We are so honored Meg chose to stay in Bozeman to become part of the Bobcat family," Woodburn said. "She is one of the best players to come out of Montana and we can't wait to watch her do tremendous things for our program. Not only is she an elite tennis player and student, but she's also an individual of strong character with an unconditional supportive family."
Playing for Clayton Harris at Bozeman High School, McCarty posted a 20-0 mark as a junior. A two-time all-district selection, she placed third in doubles at the National Level 1 Winter Championships in 2021.
Off the court, she is a two-time all-state academic honoree and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.
The daughter of Montana State alums Natalie and Paul McCarty, she plans to study cell biology/neuroscience or microbiology.
