A letter from Montana State Director of Athletics Leon Costello
Dear Bobcat Fans,
Thank you for an incredible day last Saturday. It never gets old being a part of a sea of 20,000 fans dressed in GOLD cheering on the Bobcats. The Montana State campus and our entire Bozeman community is still buzzing from such a special game day and the first win of Brent Vigen's head coaching career.
We are constantly evaluating strategies to make the fan experience at our events the best in the FCS. We also understand that some of our services experienced longer than normal lines this past weekend. It's no secret that the entire country is experiencing a labor shortage, and we are not immune. This is not an excuse, however, given this shortage, we have made some adjustments to our operations for this week that will help the efficiency of our services on gameday:
We also have a few reminders for you to ensure your entry into Bobcat Stadium is quick and efficient:
It was an honor to be able to have the national champion MSU women's rodeo team lead our football team onto the field and honor them on Saturday. Most of these student-athletes traveled back from their competition in Cody, WY, just to be with us for our pregame festivities. As much as we love what they do at a football game, we must remember they are competing during many weekends in the fall. They are scheduled to be with us every weekend they are not competing, however, it will not be every home game. Thank you for your gracious support of our rodeo teams and understanding of their schedules.
We are so grateful for the hundreds of employees and thousands of fans who make our game day experience the best in the FCS, and we sincerely appreciate your patience with us while we work through the labor issues we are facing. The single best thing you can do to help everyone enter the stadium quickly and efficiently is to enter the stadium a little earlier than usual.
We are close to another sellout. If you haven't purchased your tickets for this weekend's game, do it before they're gone.
Thank you for your loyal and passionate support!
In Bobcat Spirit,
Leon Costello

This is not an excuse, however, given this shortage, we have made some adjustments to our operations for this week that will help the efficiency of our services on gameday:
• | We've removed 'no bag lines' from outside Bobcat Stadium. We learned that the process to enter our venue is quicker and more efficient when all lanes are equal. You no longer need to look for hard-to-see singage indicating what line you should be in. |
• | We've added a walking path through the tailgates along Kagy. This will make it easier for you to get through the lots and to a gate when it's time to enter the stadium. |
• | Game information and roster cards will be available at all concession stand condiment stations in each concourse, FREE of charge. There will also be a QR code included to access the full digital program and more game information on those cards. |
• | WE ARE HIRING. We are looking for 'Game Day Ambassadors' to help fans move through lines quicker. If you are interested in helping us on game day for about 90 minutes (once gates open through kickoff) in exchange for complimentary access to our club level and team gear, you can email us at promotions@msubobcats.com. |
We also have a few reminders for you to ensure your entry into Bobcat Stadium is quick and efficient:
• | Please enter the stadium early. With a sellout crowd expected again, please plan to enter the stadium earlier. Remember, gates open 90 minutes before kickoff. |
• | Some of our gates have changed since 2019. You can click here to review our new stadium map. |
• | Bobcat Stadium has a clear bag policy. Be sure to review which bags are permitted in the game so that you aren't forced to make a return to your vehicle. |
• | Don't forget to download your tickets and parking passes before you head to the game. This will eliminate the need to rely on spotty service around the stadium and keep the lines moving quickly. You can click here to watch an instructional video. |
