Bobcat Athletics 4th Annual Blue & Gold Gala Raises Record Amount for Student-Athlete Scholarships

Bobcat supporters rally in record amount for annual scholarship fund
BOZEMAN, Montana – Bobcat Athletics' recent 4th Annual Blue & Gold Gala generated more than $420,000 in revenue, the most yet for one of the department's signature social events.

The primary focus of the Blue & Gold Gala is to support MSU student-athlete scholarships and expenses. This year, the  Gala generated  funds to support  nearly 16 in-state annual scholarships, said MSU Director of Athletics Leon Costello. "it was a tremendous feeling to celebrate the Bobcats in person with our great supporters," Costello said. "The excitement and energy was palpable, and the result was so fitting."

The Blue & Gold Gala is an important part of Bobcat Athletics' 'Three to Win' Campaign, an effort to raise $3 million annually over the next three years. A successful campaign would fully fund all athletic scholarships and support expenses, Costello said.Â

"The Bobcat spirit is one of achievement and perseverance," Costello said. "I'm so thankful for our supporters, and after a very challenging 2020-21 it was great to spend a very successful night with them."

Bobcat Athletics has already set the date for next year's Gala, so mark your calendars for October 21, 2022.
