A letter from Montana State Director of Athletics Leon Costello
Dear Bobcats,
It's March Madness time and judging by the energy on campus these first couple days of the month, March is living up to its name. I'd like to begin this letter by congratulating our athletic department and our entire Bobcat Family on our fourth consecutive Brawl of the Wild series victory over the University of Montana, clinched this weekend by our women's tennis team. It's always a great day to be a Bobcat!
We are excited to announce a groundbreaking event for the Bobcat Athletic Complex has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, on the north side of Bobcat Stadium. The event is open to the public and will start at 4:30 p.m. Join us as we begin construction on this transformational facility focused on student-athlete development. We couldn't have done this without you, so please be a part of our celebration!
Congratulations to head coach Tricia Binford, the entire coaching staff and women's basketball student-athletes on their Big Sky Conference regular season championship! With their 19 regular season wins, MSU women's basketball set a Big Sky Conference record for number of league wins in a season. They hold the top seed in this week's Big Sky Conference Basketball Tournament in Boise, Idaho.

MSU Athletics and Bobcat Skiing are excited to be hosting the 2020 NCAA Skiing Championships this week. Both competed at the RMISA/NCAA West Regional one week ago and qualified 11 skiers to the national competition. The Championships will be held Wednesday-Saturday (March 11-14) at Bridger Bowl and Crosscut Mountain Sports Center. This is a great event to showcase our athletic department, MSU campus and Bozeman community and to witness the best skiing in the country. For more information on the 2020 NCAA Skiing Championships, click here.
The Bobcat track and field programs completed their indoor season in Pocatello, Idaho, at the Big Sky Conference Championships. Now they turn their sights to the outdoor season. Click here for the outdoor track and field schedule.
The Montana State women's tennis team opened its 2020 Big Sky Conference season in grand fashion with a hard-fought 4-3 win over the Griz this weekend! Men's tennis also earned a 6-1 win over Portland State on Friday.
Bobcat women's golf has started its spring season with a tournament at Grand Canyon University and compete in Hawaii this week.
