Montana State Places 43 on Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team

Montana State had 43 honored as all-academic selections by the Big Sky Conference
OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky Conference announced the members of the 2019 Winter All-Academic teams for men's and women's basketball and men's and women's indoor track and field on Thursday. The league had a total of 487 student-athletes recognized for the winter season.
"I'd like to congratulate our basketball and track & field student-athletes for their hard work and dedication to academic success," said Big Sky Commissioner Tom Wistrcill. "Our student-athletes continue to achieve greatness in their respective sports, as well as in the classroom. I'm proud to see our student-athletes shine at a high level."
Montana State had 43 honored as all-academic selections. The Bobcats' average student-athlete GPA was 3.15 following the fall semester. Eighty-six student-athletes were named to their respective Dean's Lists and 52 Bobcats achieved all A's and A-'s.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team's competitions. In track and field student-athlete competed at the indoor conference championships; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed team; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution.
