BOZEMAN, Mont. – Montana State Athletics welcomes the public to Bobcat Stadium for two free events during a week span ahead of the Bobcat football season opener.
Guests are welcome to come experience the sights of a beautiful evening in Bozeman for the annual Bobcat Movie Night which is slated for Sunday, Aug. 12. That won't be the only event available to take in, as Family Fun Day takes place on Saturday, Aug. 18 inside Bobcat Stadium.
"We've split Bobcat Movie Night and Family Fun Day into two separate days this year because Family Fun Day continues to grow as a bigger event," said Bethany Cordell, MSU associate athletic director. "Bobcat Movie Night is one of our favorite traditions and we look forward to welcoming the community to Bobcat Stadium this Sunday."
All ages are able to partake in Bobcat Movie Night on Aug. 12 with "Ferdinand" the premiere movie of the evening. Gates open at Bobcat Stadium at 6:30 p.m. with popcorn and water available to purchase on the field. A play area will be available for kids to enjoy in the end zone opposite of the video board. For protection of the field, items such as outside food and drink, pets and lawn chairs are prohibited.
The free movie is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. and the event will end at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Family Fun Day takes on a whole new spin on Aug. 18 when doors open at Bobcat Stadium for the event at 2:30 p.m.
Montana State football, volleyball and spirit squad student-athletes will be holding clinics and signing autographs on the field until 4 p.m. Inflatables, games and other tailgate-type activities will take place outside the stadium, also beginning at 2:30pm.
The Bobcat football team closes out the day with a scrimmage on their home turf which the public is welcome to stay and attend. The 'Cats will scrimmage from approximately 5:30-7 p.m.
"Family Fun Day continues to grow bigger and bigger each year," said Cordell. "It's important to our coaches and administration to give back to the Bozeman community in the form of these free clinics and autograph sessions. It's going to be a great day jam packed full of activities for all ages."
Tickets for the 2018 football and volleyball seasons are currently on sale. Bobcat football fans can purchase season tickets, 3-game ticket packages or single-game tickets by going online to msubobcats.com/tickets, visiting the Bobcat Ticket Office at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse or by calling the Ticket Office at 406-994-CATS.
