MSU falls short without Tyler Hall
Louisiana Tech used a 9-0 run surrounding halftime and out-scored Montana State 25-to-9 from the free throw line to post a 71-58 home win over the Bobcats on Saturday.
Jacobi Boykins led the Bulldogs with 23 points, while Jalen Harris added 15 and Daquan Bracey 12. Harald Frey scored 17 points to pace the Cats, while Isaac Bonton scored 12.
The Bobcats played without leading scorer Tyler Hall. The junior forward suffered an injury in the team's win over UM Western on Wednesday.
Saturday's game was part of the Cancun Challenge. The Bobcats travel to Mexico to continue play in that tournament next week, squaring off with Binghamton at 10:30 am MT on Tuesday.
