Montana State freshman Linda Vink posted a pair of singles victories, while the Bobcat Nos. 1 and 2 doubles tandems also picked up wins as MSU dropped three matches in Texas over the weekend.

Montana State freshman Linda Vink posted a pair of singles victories, while the Bobcat Nos. 1 and 2 doubles tandems also picked up wins as MSU dropped three matches in Texas over the weekend.

Vink, a product of Sint-Michielsgestel, Netherlands, won a pair of matches on the weekend, defeating Southern Methodist's Mary Wright 6-4, 5-7, 10-6 at No. 5 singles, and Sam Houston State's Caitlyn Mitchell 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 6 spot.

In doubles play, MSU's No. 2 tandem of Laura Middel and Naomi Holopainen went 2-1, claiming victories over SMU 6-2, and SHSU 6-2.

Montana State will host North Dakota in the team's home-opener on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m., in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
