Bobcat Student-Athletes Post 27th Consecutive Semester Above a 3.0 GPA

Montana State student-athletes earned a team average grade point average (GPA) of 3.26 during the spring semester, making it the 27th consecutive semester the department has compiled a 3.0 or above and the 17th consecutive semester with a 3.15 or above.
The President's List included 29 student-athletes for achieving a 4.0, with 76 total earning a 3.5-3.99, claiming a spot on the Dean's List. Of MSU's 302 student-athletes, 193 – 63.9% – produced 3.0 GPA's or better and 53 received all A's or A-'s.
The women's cross country team posted the best GPA of any squad with a 3.80, but women's tennis came in close behind with a 3.63. Nordic ski compiled a 3.58 with the alpine ski team earning a 3.48. Men's basketball made the biggest improvement, jumping from a 2.58 to a 3.01 over the last academic year. Of MSU's 15 varsity squads, 12 posted composite GPA's of 3.0 or better.
