MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS
Montana State's cross country teams battled a long season to finish the Mountain Regional Cross Country meet 12th and 14th. Both teams competed today at the University of New Mexico North Golf Course in their respective races.
Freshman Alyssa Snyder ended her first season as a Bobcat, leading the team with a 51st place finish. Snyder ran the course in 22:22.49, with Louisa Serpe finishing 22 seconds behind her in 69th. Rachel Atwood and Chiara Warner finished 78th and 79th, with times of 22:56.23 and 22:57.95. With an 84th place finish, Jenetter Northey crossed the finish line in 23:01.02 and Kaylee Schmitz was not far behind with a time of 23:06.43 (87th).
Diego Leon brought in the Bobcat's fastest time for the men, finishing in 32:22.72 (61st). Ty Mogan finished just after Leon, placing 62nd with a 32:23.33. Ethan Wilhelm ended a great senior season with a 70th place finish and a time of 32:35.21.
Colorado swept both team titles, with a course average of 21:12.65 for the women and 30:18.46 on the men's side. Hannah Everson of Air Force was crowned the individual champion with a mark of 20:45.42, while freshman Jonah Koech and Anthony Rotich (both of UTEP) battled for the first place spot. Koech crossed the finish line in 29:57.50, just .09 seconds in front of Rotich.
Montana's Makena Morley ran as an individual, finishing eighth overall with an impressive time of 21:15.17. The freshman will advance to the NCAA National championships.
The harriers completed the 2015 cross season, but most will continue to compete this season in indoor track and field.
