Stacy Peek Becomes Bobcat Spirit Squad Coach

Former NC State cheerleader takes over MSU squad
Stacy Peek, a former North Carolina State spirit squad coach and mentor, has been elevated to head coach of the Montana State Spirit Squad, Bobcat Athletics announced Monday.
Peek joined the MSU team in 2011 as an assistant cheer coach and was named the interim spirit squad coach following Brittany Sterkel's resignation in December 2013.
Prior to Montana State, Peek was an assistant coach at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. Overseeing over 70 cheerleaders and mascots, she helped lead the Wolfpack not only at events and games but also to a top-five rank in the nation.
In addition to her leadership duties at NC State, she was also a member of the squad from 1996-2000 and captained the team her senior season.
"I'm thrilled to be able to continue as part of the Bobcat Family," said Peek. "We've already made huge strides in the just this past semester and I look forward to elevating the exposure of Bobcat Athletics, and our cheer and dance squads, and of course, Champ."
Peek also teaches group fitness and is a certified personal trainer at the Ridge Athletic Club in Bozeman.
