"This trip was a great opportunity to compete against teams we don't usually see," MSU head women's tennis coach Denise Albrecht said. "I thought we played well all weekend, both indoors and outdoors. Hopefully, we can use this experience as a springboard into Big Sky Conference play."
Senior Paulina Lopez had a big weekend for the Bobcats going 3-0 in singles action, including a 0-6, 6-1, 10-8 victory at No. 2 singles over Georgetown's Madeline Jaeger. Lopez also teamed with Iva Parapunova at No. 1 doubles, where the tandem went 1-1 on the weekend.
Montana State will host MSU Billings on Friday, before facing Big Sky Conference rival Portland State on Saturday morning. Both matches will be held in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
