Bobcat Cagers Add Starr to Staff

Montana State coach Brad Huse filled one of the vacancies on his coaching staff Tuesday, hiring Temesghen Starr from Marshalltown, Iowa, Community College.
Starr recently completed his third season as an assistant at Marshalltown, and previously served as an assistant coach at Taft High in Woodland Hills, Calif., from 2004-06, and was head coach at South Bay Lutheran High in Inglewood, Calif., in 2003-04.
"I consider Temesghen to be an outstanding person and an outstanding young coach," Huse said. "He has established a large recruiting network in short time and will really assist our recruiting efforts in the Midwest and back in his home area. He's a very hard worker, and that's important as we continue building our program. Most importantly, he will be an excellent role model for our student-athletes. I'm excited that he has joined our staff."
A 2004 graduate of Capital University (Columbus, Ohio), Starr also taught in both the high school and junior college ranks, and coached an AAU team in Los Angeles. He prepped at the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies in his hometown.
Huse indicated he is likely to round out his coaching staff within a week or so.
