John W. “Brick” Breeden- Class of ’29- Football, Basketball Player…teacher…coach…administrator…legislator…humanitarian and all-time great Bobcat. A standout football and basketball player for the Bobcats (1926-29)…All-America pick and captain on the 1928-29 “Golden Bobcat” basketball team…Legendary MSU mentor for 17 years who is the school’s winningest basketball coach (283-193)…Bobcat athletic director for two years and long-time MSU administrator…A state senator for Gallatin-Park counties from 1972-74…Passed away in 1977…MSU’s fieldhouse is named in his honor.
