College Basketball Hall of Fame Selection… Two-time All-America honoree… Successful Coach.
A standout member of the “Golden Bobcat” basketball team that won the national championship in 1929 and 1930… Ranks seventh on MSU’s all-time scoring list with 1,413 points… One of the first 10 players selected for the Helms Foundation Basketball Hall of Fame.. Lettered four years in both basketball and track… Earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from MSC in 1930 and was selected for the Septemviri honor society and Les Bouffons… Played semi-pro basketball for two seasons with the Long Beach Shields (1930-32)… Went on to a successful high school coaching career in Montana.
