Lam and Tyrrell Throw at Nationals Wednesday

Both throwers will get three initial throws to qualify for the top 12 that will throw in the finals on Friday.
Lam placed third at the Midwest Regionals to qualify for the national meet with a personal best throw of 220’1”. He placed second in the Big Sky Conference as well. Tyrrell qualified for the NCAA championships by an at-large bid. She was rated 19th in the country heading into the at-large process, which qualifies athletes that do not place in the top five at the regional meets but have strong season performances. Tyrrell’s season best throw is 166’1”.
Tyrrell is a sophomore from Grand Forks, North Dakota and Lam, a junior, attended Billings Skyview.
