The Montana State volleyball squad’s quest for its second consecutive Big Sky Conference road win fell short due to service errors as Northern Arizona posted a 25-14, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22 win over the Bobcats, Thursday night in the Rolle Activity Center.

After dropping the first two sets, Montana State (3-19, 1-11) took command of set three by virtue of out-hitting Northern Arizona (8-13, 5-7) .250 to .077.

However, the Bobcats’ effort to push the match to a fifth and deciding set fell short as MSU committed ten service errors in the fourth set, accounting for almost half of NAU’s 25-points.

Senior Kyla Hendry paced Montana State in the loss with 11 kills and five blocks. Hendry’s kill total marked her ninth double-figure match of the season. Also in double-digit kills was Jodeen Rademacher with ten winners.

Senior Taylor Faught dished out 42 assists, while adding eight digs. Defensively, libero Meghan Albiston paced all Bobcat players with a team-high 16 digs.

NAU was led in the win by Kelli Dallmann with 16 kills, 21 assists and nine digs.

MSU will play at Northern Colorado on Saturday night.
